September isn't always one of the biggest months on the LEGO release calendar, but September 2026 is shaping up to be surprisingly packed. New sets are arriving across LEGO Icons, Harry Potter, DC, Marvel, Editions, BrickHeadz, Collectible Minifigures and several other themes, alongside the annual wave of LEGO Advent Calendars.
There is also an unusual amount of variety. LEGO fans can choose between a huge Batman Returns Batmobile, a detailed Ministry of Magic, the beginning of the new Midnight Valley Collection, a return to SpongeBob SquarePants, another Star Trek display set, a Doctor Doom Bust, an Ayrton Senna Helmet, a brick-built Nike Air Force 1 and an entire series of Shrek Collectible Minifigures.
Most of the month's major releases arrive on September 1, 2026, although LEGO Insiders can get early access to a couple of the biggest sets.

LEGO Icons 11383 Mayor Manor

One of September's most interesting releases is also the beginning of something completely new.
11383 Mayor Manor launches LEGO's Midnight Valley Collection, a new series of collectible buildings with a mysterious and supernatural aesthetic.
The manor uses deliberately crooked and asymmetrical architecture, weathered textures, creeping vegetation and an old tree built into the structure. Inside, the two-story model includes gothic and period-style furnishings such as a suit of armor, fireplace, artwork, bookshelf and grandfather clock frozen at midnight.
The minifigures are another major selling point. Mayor Manor includes three glow-in-the-dark minifigures, plus cat and rat figures.
At $119.99 for 1,420 parts, Mayor Manor is also considerably less expensive than September's biggest licensed display sets.

The combination of price, unusual minifigures and the beginning of a new collectible series makes Mayor Manor one of September's strongest overall releases.
LEGO Icons 11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge

Star Trek fans are getting another substantial LEGO model, but this time the focus moves inside the Enterprise.
11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge recreates the bridge and transporter room of the famous starship. Interactive features include a rocking captain's chair to simulate turbulence, a dial-operated transporter feature and opening turbolift doors.
The real highlight may be the minifigure selection.
Eight members of the classic crew are included: James T. Kirk, Spock, Nyota Uhura, Hikaru Sulu, Leonard McCoy, Pavel Chekov, Christine Chapel and Montgomery Scott. Four Tribbles and several character accessories are included as well.
At $199.99, this is clearly aimed at seri

11386 SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom contains 1,794 parts and recreates several instantly recognizable locations from the animated series.
The model includes SpongeBob's pineapple house, Squidward's home, Patrick's rock and Jellyfish Fields. SpongeBob's and Squidward's homes feature detailed interiors, while smaller references include the boatmobile, Squidward's clarinet and a portrait of Gary.
SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward appear as minifigures, while Gary and DoodleBob are represented too.
The result is a nostalgia heavy display piece with plenty for longtime SpongeBob fans to discover. The bigger issue is its $219.99 price.

It's one of the most interesting September models, but unless SpongeBob is one of your favorite franchises, there's no harm in waiting for a discount or strong LEGO promotion.
LEGO DC 76355 Batman Returns Batmobile

Batman fans get another enormous Batmobile in September, this time based on the vehicle from Batman Returns.
The 2,269-part model measures approximately 17 inches long and features a detailed cockpit beneath its sliding canopy.
Its standout feature is the transformation into the Batmissile. Pressing a button allows the sides of the vehicle to drop away, after which additional parts complete the narrower escape vehicle seen in the movie.
The set also comes with a distinctive Batman minifigure and display stand.
LEGO Insiders receive Early Access beginning September 1, while the general release is scheduled for September 4.
Buying Recommendation: WAIT FOR A SALE
The Batmissile function and huge display presence make this an impressive Batman collectible, but $229.99 is a significant price for a set containing only one minifigure. Unless this version of the Batmobile is a personal favorite, waiting makes sense.
LEGO Harry Potter 76476 The Ministry of Magic – Collectors' Edition

The biggest set in this September lineup by both number of parts and price is The Ministry of Magic – Collectors' Edition.
The enormous 3,491-part model spans three levels and recreates locations inspired by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Locations include the subway station and famous red telephone box, Arthur Weasley's office, Dolores Umbridge's office, the courtroom and the Hall of Prophecy.
There are also plenty of interactive elements. Builders can "flush" a minifigure from the restroom into the Ministry and collapse the Hall of Prophecy shelves during a battle.
The set contains an impressive 14 minifigures and a special 25th-anniversary Lynx Patronus.
LEGO Insiders get Early Access on August 29, followed by the general September 1 release. LEGO's 2026 Back to Hogwarts promotion also includes a member only gift with purchase connected to the new Ministry set during the launch period.

At $449.99, this isn't a set anyone needs to impulse-buy. However, collectors already planning to purchase it should pay close attention to the launch promotion rather than automatically waiting for later.
LEGO Marvel 76345 Doctor Doom Bust

Doctor Doom receives his own display model ahead of LEGO's wider Avengers: Doomsday lineup.
76345 Doctor Doom Bust recreates Doom's masked appearance from Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday. The model includes a repositionable neck and jaw, foil hood and cape, detailed mask and eyes, and a display pedestal with a nameplate.
More importantly for minifigure collectors, it includes a Doctor Doom minifigure that can be displayed alongside the bust.

Its appeal goes beyond the sneaker itself. The set includes a Nike-themed LEGO Classic Space minifigure and an interactive feature that sends the character through a 360-degree dunk.

Three New LEGO BrickHeadz Arrive in September
BrickHeadz collectors also have three very different releases to choose from.
40919 Gremlins: Gizmo and Stripe Figures includes 230 parts and costs $24.99, bringing both characters from the classic movie franchise into BrickHeadz form.
DC fans get 40859 Golden Age Superman and Batman Figures, with 218 parts for $24.99. The two figures recreate classic interpretations of the superheroes rather than their modern appearances.
Finally, 40858 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure offers a much smaller 72-part build for $12.99.
These aren't the month's biggest releases, but their lower prices make them easier additions for fans of each franchise.

At $449.99, it certainly isn't cheap, but the Ministry is September's true flagship collector model. The 3,491-part build, 14 minifigures, interactive features and 25th-anniversary Lynx Patronus make it one of the most substantial Harry Potter sets of 2026.
#3 – Best Minifigures: Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge

Day One Buy or Wait for a LEGO Sale?
With this many releases arriving together, being selective could save a lot of money.
Our strongest Day One Buy is Mayor Manor. It combines an attractive price with a brand-new collection and unusual minifigures.
The Shrek Minifigures are another good launch purchase, particularly if you're trying to collect the entire series or find certain characters. Star Trek fans may also have little reason to hesitate on the Enterprise Bridge, while Formula 1 collectors could feel similarly about the Ayrton Senna Helmet.
The Ministry of Magic is a special case. At $449.99, waiting for a promotion would normally be tempting. However, LEGO Insiders who already intend to purchase the set should compare the value of its launch-period gift with purchase against the possibility of a future discount.
Sets we'd be more comfortable waiting on include SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom, Doctor Doom Bust and the Batman Returns Batmobile. None of those are bad sets. Their higher prices simply make a later discount or LEGO promotion more valuable.
