LEGO Star Wars Sets Coming in 2023

We now have some new details regarding the lineup for LEGO Star Wars in 2023, thanks to German LEGO Blog Promobricks. According to their information we can expect 15 new sets to arrive between Winter and Spring next year, including a few sets from the recently announced The Mandalorian Season 3 and a new Ultimate Collector's Series set!

We'll also be getting two new additions to the LEGO Star Wars Collector's Helmet series: Captain Rex Phase II Helmet (75349) and Commander Cody Phase I Helmet (75350). Both of these sets have been long sought after since LEGO started the subtheme back in 2020.

Both new sets will contain between 800-1000 pieces, and will be releasing during the second release window in 2023. They will retail for $79.99 (USD) | €69.99 | £69.99. The tentative release date is slated for March 1, 2023.

Along with these new additions to the LEGO Star Wars lineup, we'll also be seeing an update to the LEGO Star Wars 501st with a new battle pack for 2023. This comes on the tail end of the announcement that the LEGO Star Wars 501st Battle Pack will be retiring in 2022 by year's end. According to Promobricks, the four 501st Minifigures included in the set will be based on the characters from DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II (2017). Differing from the previous 501st Battle Pack, in 2023 we will get three new Minifigures—two Heavy Troopers, one 501st Officer, and a Specialist Trooper. The updated helmets will also allow the option for the Heavy Troopers to have dark blue visors. Unlike the characters in Battlefront II, these troopers will not come with a shoulder bag or backpack.

The 501st Heavy Troopers will have white arms while the Specialist's arms are blue. The torso will be the same as the previous version of 501st Troopers, but will include two new yellow markings on the left side of the torso's chest. In addition, the Specialist clone trooper will include macrobinoculars that can be attached to the helmet. Both the specialist and the two 501st Heavy Troopers will also use the same legs as the regular 501st Trooper.

Lastly, the 501st Officer Trooper will include a rangefinder that can be attached to his helmet, and the torso looks similar to that of a normal trooper, but they'll have a blue belt instead. The Officer's kama is going to be printed instead of an accessory, but extends over both the hip and the legs. In addition to the figures, the set will also include a shrunken version of an AV-7 Antivehicle Cannon, which appeared previously in The Clone Wars.
