According to some new rumored information, the LEGO Batman Set 76240, is going to be the Tumbler and will also include another Dark Knight version of the Batman and Joker. The set is going to include over 2,000 pieces and will retail for $230 USD, and will be released on Shop@Home in October 2021. The exact details and release date still aren't clear, but one point of contention is considering whether or not this is a re-release or a re-designed LEGO Set. Based on the fact that 2014's LEGO Batman The Tumbler (76023) contained 1,869 pieces and retailed for $199.99 USD, it's most likely the case that we'll be seeing a completely new UCS set that varies fairly significantly from the original model.
This news comes in the wake of some leaked details surrounding The Batman, the feature film starring Robert Pattinson which is due to release March 2021, and whose LEGO Sets were originally set to release this year. The sets faced a similar push-back to that of the LEGO Marvel Black Widow Sets, which released much further ahead of schedule than the titular film. According to several sources on Instagram, LEGO sets from The Batman (2022) will include 76179, 76181, and 76183. The preliminary details report that the sets will include: Batcycle and Catwoman* (76179), which will retail for $14.99; Batmobile Chase* (76181), which will retail for $39.99 and will include The Batman, Penguin, Jim Gordon and an additional figure that isn't known; and lastly, a Batcave Break-in* (76183) set, which will retail for $69.99, and is rumored to include The Batman, Bruce Wayne, Alfred, and the Riddler.
