AdminLEGO Technic™ Sets 2021: First Look
The latest LEGO Magazine has surface on line in Japan, so we now have a first look at some of the upcoming late Summer and Fall 2021 LEGO Technic™ sets.
The first of the two upcoming sets featured in the catalog is the LEGO Technic™ Mercedes-Benz 4 × 4 Zetros (42129), which is going to be available beginning August 1st. It is expected to include 2,108 parts and will retail for $299.99 | €299.99. There has been some speculation as to whether or not we'd see another situation as had occurred with the Osprey, since the Zetros is also used in a military capacity in many countries, but based on the initial imagery it appears it's going to be coming in the form of an off-road racer variant.
Also included in the magazine, were the first images of the upcoming LEGO Technic™ Heavy-Duty Tow Truck (42128). This set is also expected to release both on Shop@Home and at major retailers beginning August 1st and will contain 2,017 parts and will retail for $149.99 | €149.99.
As far as LEGO Technic™ goes, besides the LEGO Technic™ Heavy-Duty Tow Truck (42128) and the LEGO Technic™ Mercedes-Benz 4 × 4 Zetros (42129), we're also expecting another two sets to be coming in October with the final wave of LEGO Technic™ Sets for 2021—most notably the year's flagship set, CAT D11T Bulldozer (42131), which is expected to contain 3,854 parts and retail for about $449.99, and a second set which is only known as 42126 and is expected to contain 1,379 parts and to retail for roughly $149.99. Unfortunately, there's no further information regarding the set, but it may be this year's IP vehicle, which is highly anticipated following the inevitable retirement of the LEGO Technic™ Bugatti Chiron (42083).
