For weeks now the Vice President of Design with The LEGO Group has been teasing a different colored 2x3 brick, alluding to a forthcoming set that LEGO has kept well under wraps. It's now being rumored that the set is going to be called "Everyone is Awesome" and will have the set number 40516, and will contain a variety of LEGO Minifigures in monochrome in a variety of different colors—which is the basis of why the VP has been sharing such cryptic Twitter messages.
According to Instagram user lego_fulcrum the set will contain 346 parts and will retail for $34.99 and will be limited to one per household—which is very unusual for The LEGO Group, who may be trying to limit the resale market, since they're trying to do this in honor of Pride Month in June.
According to the Instagram user, the set will include (at least so far) Minifigures in the Black, Reddish Brown, Red, Bright Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Dark Purple, Light Blue, White and Pink—all the colors of the rainbow it will seem!
No details regarding release date, but since Pride Month begins June 1st, it's a safe assumption that the set may be available on Shop@Home starting June 1st, which means we should expect an end to the cryptic Twitter posts soon, and should be seeing an official announcement.
